Christopher Collins
Designer
Known in the bay area for his one-of-a-kind ensembles, Christopher Collins is a perfect blend of raw talent, sincere charisma and ambitious detail, which is found in every one of his pieces. With ten years of fashion experience under his belt, Christopher’s pieces demonstrate quality, luxury, high fashion and femininity. While earning his degree in fashion design at San Francisco State University, Christopher worked as a visual merchandiser for Neiman Marcus where he gained insight into the luxury market. Upon graduation, Christopher moved to Los Angeles to design for two well-known fashion designers—Tadashi and Dina Bar-el. After years of eveningwear design, Christopher moved back to San Francisco to start his Contemporary Couture collection with his lifetime friend, Erica Tanamachi. In Fall 2008, Christopher and Erica launched the much-anticipated first collection of the Christopher Collins line. The collection of fine silks, and tailored Elizabethan collars gained immediate exposure and can be found at boutiques throughout the United States. Growing in popularity, The Spring 2009 Collection showed at Gen Art in San Francisco and received rave reviews. Christopher continuously designs fashion forward pieces crafted from fine fabrics from Italy, France and Japan with a fit that rival the greatest in the industry. When asked about his design philosophy, Christopher Collins simply answers with a smile, “To make someone feel beautiful, fresh, natural and new.”
